The bucket bag, which climbed to the top of our collective handbag-loving minds in the mid-2010s, continued to surge in popularity for a few years before taking a backseat to other silhouettes. Like most popular shapes in the handbag world (think shoulder bag, crossbody bag, backpack, etc.), the bucket bag never entirely ceases to exist, but its popularity does ebb and flow.

This Spring, bucket bags have catapulted back to ubiquity, with nearly all of our favorite brands, from premier designers to smaller contemporary labels alike, releasing iterations of the shape. With a distinctive, practical, and stylish silhouette, it’s easy to see why the bucket bag is booming.
