**Sample room**Pattern making, counter samples, fit samples and size sets are made here before anything reaches the line.

**Sewing lines**Operators work to a bundle ticket, so a cut panel can be traced back to its lot.

**Pattern making**Blocks are drafted, graded and cut in-house; the pattern room is on the same floor as the sample room.

**Needle detection station**Needle detection is run to the production and buyer specification, and the record is kept with the order.

**Inline quality inspection**Inspection runs inline as well as at the end, so a fault is caught at the station that made it.

**Finished goods warehouse**Completed lots staged and cartoned, with carton marking prepared against the packing list.

Sample room

Pattern making, counter samples, fit samples and size sets are made here before anything reaches the line.

Cutting floor

Fabric is relaxed, laid and cut to the marker. Cut panels are bundled and numbered by size and shade.

Sewing lines

Assembly runs on lines with inline inspectors working the same floor as the operators.

Needle detection

A metal-detector pass before packing, run to the production and buyer specification.

Pressing and packing

Garments are pressed to settle measurements, then folded, labelled and bagged to the order specification.

Fabric warehouse

Knitted to a standing specification so a reorder does not have to be re-sourced.

Finished goods warehouse

Completed lots staged and cartoned, with carton marking prepared against the packing list.

Sales office

Order management, documentation and buyer communication.

What we can tell you, and what we quote instead

Factories publish impressive capacity numbers. We would rather tell you what the building can actually do and then quote your order against it.

The line count, the number of operators and the monthly output all move with the season and with the fabric mix, so a number printed on a website is out of date before it is read. What is stable is the process: four fabric families held as standing qualities, an in-house sample room, and a quality regime that runs inline rather than only at the end.
