ODM work starts from something we already make well. You pick a silhouette from the range, and we adapt it: a different neckline, a longer leg, a heavier terry, your own colour, your own labels. The pattern work is largely done, so the development cost and the calendar both shrink.
It is the route most first ranges take, and it is honest about what it is: a faster path to a sellable garment, not a claim of original design.
What ODM suits
- First ranges where the priority is getting a credible product to market rather than a completely novel silhouette.
- Brands extending an existing range with a shape they have not made before and do not want to develop from scratch.
- Buyers who want the fit and construction de-risked before investing in a full pattern-development cycle.
What changes, and what does not
- Changeable: fabric weight and composition, colour, print or check, sleeve and leg length, neckline and placket, pocketing, cuffs, labelling and packaging.
- Fixed: the underlying block, which is what makes the fit predictable and the development fast.
- If you need a silhouette we do not already carry, that is an OEM development and we will tell you so rather than stretch an existing block past the point where it still fits.

ODM Development — what buyers ask
Can we get exclusivity on an ODM style?
On a modified style, usually yes — once the changes are yours, the modified pattern is not sold to anyone else. On an unmodified stock style, no, and any factory that offers otherwise is selling you something it cannot enforce.
How is ODM priced against OEM?
Development cost is lower because the block already exists. Unit cost is driven by the same things either way — fabric, trims, construction time and quantity.
